Broken Server / Client?

i seem to have come across an issue, and don't know if it is just me. Everytime I log in, as of 03/02/14 19:04, I can not type, and it seems as if I don't exist, or do not even exist! I have posted a word .doc, so you can see. I hope it is just me, so everyone else can play peacefully.

Is your chat shown or hidden?

tobs, it was shown, but i couldnt see anyone typing. i thought everyone was having this issue :S

Are you sure it's not your connection? Does the world load around you, is there a delay in the chat sometimes? Would help to have more information

i have exact same problem.. chat delayed by 10 mins? All other servers work 100% no lag.. join opti.. and bam.. 5 min chat and screen lag.

p.s i have not experienced something this bad before, browsing etc works fine.. just when i join opti everything goes downhill, this is happening (still) after the server crashed or something and restarted a few hours ago, idk if that has something to do with it. It's just odd me and errol have the exact same problem

To me it sounds like your connection to the server, I have this when joining the server but once the chunks around me have (eventually) loaded the chat returns to normal. What download, ping do you have. Are you standing around an area with lots of redstone or mobs?

You can try resetting your routers, close any other open programs that use bandwidth.

I have roughly 30 ping on all servers apart from Mineplex and Opticraft. On those two I get roughly 200 ping

Tobs, i'm standing at my /home.. i never ever lag there.. commands take 10 mins to pass through.. its not my connection, all other servers = no lag, even in redstone places. If this is serverside.. or something.. then it should fix itself.. if not.. then i'll accept something is wrong.. but from being on other servers.. no lag at all.. i doubt it.

I'm getting this issue, but on a different server. My friends on it at the same time had no problems. I have 20-50ms Ping on all servers save that one, where I had 978ms.

Hopefully Optical will be on soon, and do some CSI style stuff...

Just because you're not getting the same issue on other servers, doesn't mean it's a problem with Opticraft per se.
If it's only happening to a select few, it's your connection to the server, not your connection in general.

I've Had this same problem before in the past. it lasted about 2 days but went away after that back to normal. i do think it has everything to do with connection :/ it will pass

I had this problem where I had chat/blocks lag for a few seconds. I fixed it by click on my "Local Area Connection" and went to the second tab and clicked Repair. This worked for me and immediately stopped any delay on Opticraft.

Ah, I get this issue a lot too. Do you always keep minecraft running, or do you delete the tab once you are done playing? When I keep it running, this issue happens a lot, so try deleting it then re-opening it. I hope it works
