The reason they are not cheap, is to prevent access to the "lowbies". Imagine a griefer comes into the server. This griefer is 1 in a million, smarter than the rest, and realises what he could do with a ps. It is on sale, so he mines some iron, and buys diamond protection. He just has to place it, to screw over many people inside those 97336 blocks. See what I mean?

I don't really care for the idea,but if it is implemented make sure that you can't exploit it for infinite money...Make sure the sale is still more than the buy back (if it has one) so no one invests all their money into it for a week to sell for tons more...

How about just selling items you can't sell For example, Slimeballs, Blaze Rods, etc.Also, Newbrict all items are bought much more expensive than they are sold (With the exception of PS )
