Imagine this: Someone placed water on say, someones torches, or rails. Instead of having to actually break them, those rails/torches will just float away, leaving grief. Unfortunately, we cant repair it when that happens. Sure, we can undo the water, but the blocks that were effected by the water will stay the same. I think thats the main reason why you cant use it. Also, talk to Jewnier about your spawner, he's pretty good with them.
